Introducing Firebox with Energy Recovery System

Air Burners uses the heat capturing system and the electrically driven FireBox from our 100kW PGFireBox design for the “PG FireBox Thermal Energy Recovery System”. In the Air Burners/Aqylon system the TERS system powers the Aqylon ORC. The TERS is designed to capture the exhaust heat from the FireBox using a patented system that includes a retractable heat collection hood. The clean, hot gas leaving the FireBox is directed through a heat exchanger before being exhausted to the atmosphere. The Heat Capture Module provides connections for the thermal media to be circulated through the heat exchanger. This heated thermal media is then sent to the Aqylon ORC where it is used to power the generator. The system depicted in this illustration is the 5MWth (five megawatts thermal energy) which is the heat energy required to power a one megawatt electrical generator.

Japan tries to catch up the lower wind power cost

Japan tries to catch up the lower wind power cost.

Wind power cost in Japan

World cumulative wind power installation and average cost per kWh. (excl. China)

The wind blade illustration indicates the size comparison over 30 years of wind turbine development. We just visited wind turbine site near Tokyo, with the blade size of 60-70m.The chart is NOT including China, yet. We will update the video soon.

As of October 2016, Feed-in-Tariff (FIT) price of wind power is 22yen (US$0.21)/kWh for under 20kW and 55yen(US$0.53)/kWh over 20kW in Japan. Reference: Ministry of energy.

Japan is #3 geothermal resource country in the world

Introducing how Japanese geothermal development has evolved for last 50 years.  (Diamond online magazine, September 28, 2016)
Japanese government wishes to develop more large-scale geothermal power plants, however, challenges are long-term pre-research and planning and national park law that interferes the development. The article also mentions the advantages of the geothermal power in comparison with nuclear energy and other renewable energy development.
Later in the article introduces Kenya, where many Japanese manufacturers go to develop made-in-Japan geothermal plants, the reality of Japanese geothermal development.
